First lets start off by letting everyone know who you are and where your from.
Alright. I'm Chris Melvin and I am from St. Andrews, New Brunswick.
Where are you currently residing?
I've been living in Halifax for the last little bit and will be here until at least the end of April.
You're there for school right? what are you majoring in University right now?
Yeah. I'm going to Dal, majoring in History.
What's the skate scene in Halifax like? It seems pretty sick now that they have the new concrete park.
Halifax has a pretty cool scene. The park is fun. Its just a good place to go and skate and there will usually be a couple people hanging around.
I was never here before the new park was built but it seems like it's a good place for everyone to meet up and just have a really chill session.
The problem is, just like with most parks, you can get stuck there rather than going out filming or skating street.
Yeah thats the love hate relationship with Skateparks. You lost a tooth at that park how did that happen?
Haha. I went for a skate on my birthday during the summer and skated around the park for maybe a half hour. I usually just skate the street
part of the park but I guess I was feeling adventurous or something that day because I decided I would hit up the little mini bowl section. I guess at
one point I came out a little sideways and my board shot out. I somehow managed to hit my face on the flat and chipped two of my teeth and knocked out one of my front ones. I walked over the the hospital to get some stitches on my chin and they said they would put my tooth back in too.
Instead they sent me to the dentist in Dartmouth because it was the only one open on Saturday. There I was told it was too late to put the tooth back
in so the dental bills have building up since then.

Sounds like an awesome birthday. Have you been filming or taking photos with anyone in Halifax?
I've been filming a bit with Jon Beall but never as much as I should.
So you have some new footage in Jon's new video that's coming out right? Any word on when its premiering?
I think I've got a few little things in it. Nothing too serious though. He's been saying he wants to finish it sometime before he gets busy with school. I don't know an actual date for the premiere yet but it should be coming up before long.
Who in Skateboarding gets you stoked these days?
There are so many people that get me stoked to skate. I just watched Rodrigo TX in that e'S promo and that is pretty wild. And Alex Carolino
gets me hyped. Then there are people like Russ Milligan, and P-Rod always gets me itching to skate. There are way too many to even try naming.
Basically anyone that looks like they are having a good time.
Do you still drink a lot of tea?
Haha. What kinda question is that? I do like tea for sure. Drinking copious amounts of tea is the only way I can stay warm during these cold Canadian winters.
Haha. I remember Pong told me you had a certain type of tea for everything including one that helps you skate switch better. Care to share the
recipe of the switch skating tea?
I'd love to but you know he made that up. Skating switch is just like skating regular, you just gotta practice.
Alright seems like your content with keeping the switch tea secret recipe to yourself haha, Let's wrap this up, any shout outs to sponsors or
whoever?
Joel from Elusive for helping me out over the years and Shout out to everyone from St. Andrews that I grew up skating with, Also everyone from
Halifax and NB that keep skating real.
